"Naked" Window Treatment

Do you ever get tired of trying to find the perfect window treatments, changing drapery as you change the color of a room, kids pulling drapes down, etc? Can't Get Enough of Washer Necklaces

I've finally made some washer necklaces myself and it is so fun! Look at this variation by Crafting Chicks. They metal stamped the back, added a bead in the middle and used wire for the "string." Way too cute!!! These washers were made by Adventures in Crafting. I like how she used what looks like some ink to distress the sides. It gives them more of a vintage, shabby feel. New techniques to try next time I make some!!!

Notebook Purse

This is Simply Cute!!! Alter a notebook into a purse-type looking carrier. Take notes in style at a convention, school, church or wherever you may be going. Sisters Stuff created this notebook, but got the original idea from Inking Idaho (a simply adorable stamping and scrapbooking blog.) You must also check out the notebook purses at That's SO Cuegly. Amazing!!!

Spray Paint Live Flowers & Plants

At least once a week, I ask myself, "Why didn't I think of that?" Here is one of those brilliant ideas! Everybody seems to be spray painting furniture and other accessories these days. Why not spray paint live flowers and plants growing in your yard? That's right, when perennials or other blossoms go brown, spray paint a beautiful color that will stay until you cut them down. Nittany Inspiration has more details.

Sports Pillows

Whenever I find a "boy" craft, I pay special attention to it! At JoAnn's, you can learn to make these sports-themed accent pillows for that active boy in your life. Framed Tray & Bean Mosaics

There are so many uses for frames! Don't ever throw one out:) Here is another beautiful use for frame. Make it into a stylish serving tray! Or decorate a table by placing other treasures on top of it. This idea was found at Creative Jewish Mom. (Unfortunately, the link doesn't go straight to this post for Aug 12, 2009.)

Or maybe you will like this frame tray found at Shanty2Chic. Use it in the bathroom to hold supplies. This is another beautiful tray from Shanty2Chic.

She also reminds me of making pictures from pinto beans when I was a girl. Her bean mosaics are pretty - something I would actually want to hang on my wall. Doesn't this make you want to regress into childhood and make bautiful artwork with beans?

Spooky Strawberries & Chalkboard Table

With Halloween coming up in less than 60 days, doesn't it make you want to figure out how to make all your food "scary?" Here is the answer for spooky strawberries from Little Ant Designs!!! What other foods can you make spooky. Fruits? Veggies? Meats? Breads? Have fun with it.

While you are at it, look at the fun chalkboard table featured at the same blog. Originally, created by Mi Piace Kate Designs. It remeinds me of the restaurants that have paper tablecloths and give you crayons to entertain yourself while you wait for your food. What an interactive table!!!
