PeekaBoo Shower Curtain

What a fun idea for a kids' bathroom!!!! Look at this handpainted 'peekaboo' shower curtain made by A Girl and A Glue Gun. There are 3 places people can peek their faces through. This could also work for a fun picture at a party!

DIY Clock Face

Here's another PB knock-off that rocks. Unexpected Elegance made this faux clock face. I can't believe how it is made. Some people are way too creative. See the the tutorial of this DIY clock face HERE.

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT - Back 2 School Bash

.
August is officially here and you know what that means! School will be starting in the next couple of weeks! You are likely shopping for new clothes, celebrating and making the most of the last weeks of summer vacation, getting into new routines and other activities.
Here at Someday Crafts, we will be having a
BACK 2 SCHOOL BASH!!!
.
.
You are invited to submit anything related to "Back 2 School." I'm looking for traditions, tips, crafts, ideas, giveaways and anything else related to the theme for the week of August 9th - 14th. (I moved it up one week so we will all have a week to follow through with some of these ideas.)

Let's share our ideas of easing back into the school routine and making this an easy and fun transition for the kiddos.

Submissions and questions can be sent to Somedaycrafts@gmail.com

Pillows Galore

Last week's Categorically Crafting Pillow Show was amazing. There were 42 links!!!! So many pillows. So many techniques and tips! If you didn't go back a view the end of the show, you should. Here are a few noteworthy pilllows that were inspiring to me.
Learn this cool quilting-type technique (called trapunto) with Make The Best of Things. I seriously need to try it because I like this skeleton key pillow so much. See the trapunto tutorial HERE.

Not only are these PB inspired pillows adorable, but the technique that was used to create them is useful! Learn how to copy images from your computer onto fabric from Thrifty Parsonage Living. GO HERE.

There were quite a few placemat pillows which I love! I wish I could find some placemats like this one! DARLING! See it HERE at Mad In Crafts.
If you are looking to just make a regular pillowcase, Threaded Together has a great tutorial. See the pillowcase tutorial HERE.

Tanks, Circle Skirts and Do Rags

I found a blog with lots of simple sewing projects. I think these three are fabulous! This blog is called Brown Paper Packages!
Make some cute and easy tanks for your daughter (and maybe some for yourself if you dare!) HERE.

These full circle skirts are great for twirling, dance and having fun.
See the circle skirt tutorial HERE.

Make a do-rag as a fashion statement or to keep hair out of the eyes and shade on the head while outside! See the reversible do-rag HERE.
