What To Do With Old Calendars?

What do you do with your old calendars? Do you throw them away or reuse them? Tallgrass Designs took a picture of Paris/Eiffel Tower from a calendar and framed it. My nieghbor has a set of three related pictures from the same calendar framed on her walls. They look great!

  1. I have framed calendar art before. It was a Paris calendar! ;-) I also used the miniature pictures that are on the back page of the calendar for scrapbooking/card making.

  3. Love the calendar wall art! No Big Dill turned her old calendars into gift card holder boxes which was another awesome tutorial. Calendars are wonderful ways to get some beautiful pictures indeed!

  4. When I was still teaching I would often use calendar pictures for writing prompts for my students. You've just reminded me I haven't yet gotten a 2011 calendar!!!!

  6. I do that for my son's bedroom. I know someone who makes mailing envelope out of the old calendars. I'm thinking of making holiday bows out of mine.

  7. I forgot to add that they also make good children's books (for preschool age). Glue something on the calendar side to hide all of the Xs and writing, and you can make up a story about the pictures.

  8. I was looking at my calendar at my office the other day and thinking I would be great to cut up with my robo cutter into letters or what ever. Also to make little houses or as someone said givt boxes. I almost always save them thinking decoupage, but then I don't use them for that, too thick. I have used them to make bookmarks which are handy to have around and can be put in gift books. My best calendar bookmarks were old postcards of famous buildings, I just cut out the high rises and they were perfect bookmark size.
