We did this with our last baby! It helped with eventually transitioning him into sharing a bedroom with big brother because we co-sleep, then he was in our open walk-in closet and then I hung curtains in the doorway for more separation and now he's happily sharing a room with his brother. We're having another baby so we may be doing this again if we don't move first lol!
