If you've been around blogland for a while, you've seen some amazing projects with twine/jute. I enjoy the look, texture and variety of crafts made with this medium. Here are a few I've selected to highlight. You can check out my archives for other projects I've highlighted from the past HERE and HERE.

Flower Pots always look better with some jute! Imagine if they were spray painted a contrasting color! Oh so pretty! See these at V and Co. Go HERE.

Dress up a plain lampshade by adding some jute detail. Isn't that flower pretty on the corner? Love this one created by Scraps 'N Strings. Go HERE.

Monogram letters look fabulous when decorated with a little (or a lot) of twine. This one is by Shanty2Chic. Go HERE.

Use twine as a decorative element. This watercan flower planter with a twine bow is ridiculously charming! See more pictures of it at Scraps N' Strings. Go HERE.

Wrap just about anything in twine. These boring cans were made attractive by Brown Paper Packages. GO HERE.

Of course, twine decor balls rock the house. A staple to a collection of decorative balls. These one are from A Little Of This, A Little Of That. Go HERE to see how to make the twine balls and more.

Wrap some twine around a used bottle of something! Recycle and beautify at the same time. Visit Finding Fabulous to see this "green" twine craft. Go HERE.

Please join your crafty post if, and only if, it corresponds with the category and theme of twine/jute. (If it doesn't fit in this category, please link it up to Whatever Goes Wednesday.) Link up crafts, decor, sewing projects, food, tips, etc, that has to do with twine/jute. If you have joined a twine project to a party on my blog before, feel free to add it to this show too! If you have a lot of twine projects, please choose your favorites. (Please no more than 4 posts per blog). Link to the specific posts, not to your main blog page.

Let's see what you have created (either recently or in the past)!

You can paste the "Categorically Crafting" button onto your blog post. I would love to see these floating around so more people can post their themed projects. I will leave this linky post open until next CC Show. Keep checking back for more ideas!!!
The next 3 Categorically Crafting Shows are as follows:

May 21 - Flowers

May 28 - Mirrors

June 4 - Glass Bottles

  1. You've done 2 marathons?!? Any last minute advice:) There is a UV Marathon, but I'm doing Ogden. I wanted to choose one that's been around a little longer for my first. Sorry about your knees. Such a bummer! That same thing happened to my SIL who ran her first last summer. I'm kind of worried about my ankle. It's been aching a lot and the Ogden is way down hill. I'm just glad it will be over with tomorrow!! Have a great weekend!

  2. It's official: jute is cute.

I use it to wrap pacakges, hang up a shower curtain, the list goes on and on.
