You can die easter eggs with silk ties, we tried it last year, though I was to impatient for it to work well. Hang on, there is a picture on my old blog

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I love that lampshade! And the brooches. I had a jungle party for my twins one year when they were small and we made stuffed snakes from old neckties. Added googly eyes and a tongue. The kids loved them.

Fun! I once had a pair of jeans that I cut off the outside seem from the pants and sewed a tie all the way down so it flared out at the bottom. I loved them:)

Oh these are so great! When my FIL died I asked for his ties to make aprons for his wife, daughter and two granddaughters, but I never received them. Oh well.

ReplyDeleteMy sister made a log cabin wallhanging for herself, me and our other three sisters out of my Dad's ties after he passed on. It's a wonderful keepsake that we all cherish. She did a lovely job on them.
