There aren't many sewing machine and sewing tables still in use together anymore. In fact, I see a lot of sewing tables up for grabs on various selling sites. I love how Mommyzoid took an old sewing table without a purpose and turned it into a cute little desk.
I like that! Years ago, my grandpa did the same, but since he was a woodworker (and liked a challenge), he made an inlaid top out of various types of wood. I've always loved it. This is a great idea!
