Acorn Faces Line-up!

With all the acorns laying around on the ground, there are many fun projects to do.   I'm thinking this one from Creative Outlets of a Thrifty Minded Momma would be fun for kids and adults to do.  Plus, it is a great conversation piece and a very whimsical piece of decor.  Aren't the acorn faces great?  You've got to read what they are saying!!!

YOu gotta love the wonders of Whatever Goes Wednesdays! Here are a few I love!
A blue wreath made of acorns! Oh so lovely! See this at Sew Kate Sew.

I need to make some paper witch shoes to give to my friends and Red Couch Recipes shows the link to make them. Yeah!!!

I was waiting for a jack-o-latern pillowcase dress to show up and The Butcher, The Baker and The Craft Maker fulfilled my wishes! Too cute!

Use burlap to make a stunning fall wreath like Laforce Be With You.

Make a snowman from three yo-yos. Perfect for a hair clip, pin or decoration. See it at Life on the Ridge Side.

Make a cool camera strap out of an old t-shirt (or some other material) with New Green Mama.

Acorn Review

I enjoy seeing people decorating with acorns. I think the acorn is underused especially during fall. I love this post I made last October. If you weren't following my blog a year ago, this should be new to you. If you were reading, then I hope you enjoy seeing these ideas again!
.
This acorn wreath was created by ME!!! I'm not in love with it, but it is tolerable. If I did it again, I would definitely do some things different. HERE is the tutorial on it!

I would love to have a bunch of felt acorns like these from And Other Silly Things. Learn how to felt acorns with THIS video tutorial from Wildly Woolly.

As I was writing up my tutorial, I came across this wreath from MADE guest posting at Bloom. An acorn wreath that is different than mine. Go HERE.

These are acorns are actually little treats! Acorns made from doughnut holes at Family Fun! I think they are so cute!!! Go HERE to read how to make these.

I know Halloween is over, but you can keep these acorn pumpkins/jack-o-laterns in mind for next year. Click HERE if you want to read how Family Fun created these. I wonder if you could make these into a necklace.
Another acorn good enough to eat! Head over to Bright Ideas to learn how to decorate this autumn cake HERE.

This is a unique idea of acorns. Make a bird feeder in the shape of an acorn using a wood bowl, a soda bottle and birdseed. Head over to Design Sponge to see more HERE.

Use acorns to decorate your table in different ways including using them as napkin ties. Visit Martha to see how to make these HERE.

These colorful acorns are made using tissue paper. Tuffet has the details HERE.

I love these jumbo burlap acorns by REal Ideas. Go HERE to see how she made them.
Have you done some decorating with acorns? Have you created acorns in some way?

Acorn Crazy

Acorns are one of my favorite fall decor items. Look at all these awesome acorn ideas from the Whatever Goes Wednesday party!

Cottage Hill is ingenious by turning jingle bells into acorns! This is another idea I never would have thought of! Gotta find me some LARGE jingle bells like these!

Use all those acorns that have fallen on the ground to make fun pictures. This would be a great activity for kids (besides just smashing acorns like my kids do!!!) See the acorn art at Sweet Pea and JoJo.

This post at Moore Minutes has many pictures of fall decor using acorns and pears! Such great ways to decorate. You must see these fall decor ideas!

I'm loving this large acorn topiary from Gail's Decorative Touch! Doesn't that look fantastic?

This isn't an acorn idea, but I had to share it! This pumpkin looks good enough to eat! I'm having a hard time believing that it actually a cake. I don't think I could cut a cake that looks so beautiful! See this pumpkin cake at I'm Topsy Turvy.
