Light Switch Frames and Dream House Moulding!!!
Make a unique frame display by using light switches!!! Seriously!!! Another reason to visit your neighborhood home improvement store besides washer necklaces!!! Go HERE to see this bit of inspiration on From My Feathered Nest.AND while you are checking out all From My Feathered Nest's scrapbooking pages(she's a professional), check out her house for Dream House ideas!!! (If you are a die-hard scrapbooker, add this site to your blog roll. She is GOOD! And don't look to closely at her family pictures Utahns because you will know why she has a dream house!)
I wish I had a kitchen like this:
Look how her beautiful countertop extends to sit 6 people. TO DIE FOR!!!
Yeah, this is her scrapbook room! Makes me want to cry (tears of joy for her!)
Could I please have moulding like this when I win the jackpot? These are bedrooms!!!Unfortunately, her house makes me a little bit....jealous! Oh, to live in luxury!
Can I please have a ceiling and columns like this? Please!!! (Can you have the whine in my voice?)Sunday, October 18, 2009

Wood Burning Furniture
The bookcase on the left was created by Stories of A to Z by using a little woodburning kit. Doesn't it look like the professional piece on the right, but without the price!!!! I seriously think I could do something like this! I have one of those inexpensive wood burning tools I got as a kid. What whimsical piece I could make for my kids' room! GO see how Beth did it here.Tuesday, September 22, 2009
Blog Makeover
You may have noticed that in the past week, I got a blog makeover. It is a huge improvement over what my blog looked like previously. I know you agree with me!!! I am not a technology, html, computer guru and so to make my blog look bright, happy, and cute was definitely out of my league. Luckily, I won a free blog makeover about a month ago from Alisha's Custom Designs through Mrs. D. Lightful and does Alisha deliver or what!?! This is my gift!!! Check it out! I have a custom header, new beatiful buttons (if you have an old one update it with the new one), three columns, new gadgets, new sidebars, etc. I'm giddy with excitement!!!
Alisha was amazing to work with. She asked for suggestions of what I wanted (I didn't have anything) and she came up with the colors, designs, layout....well everything. How is that for service!!! Check out her awesome portfolio. She showed me some "rough drafts" and asked for likes, dislikes, what I wanted to be changed, etc. After I had previewed the final draft, she even uploaded it onto my blog. I ask again, HOW IS THAT FOR SERVICE? I didn't have to do a thing.
Not only did she give me a blog makeover, I asked her several "How do you do this?" questions and she told me. Alisha is blogsmart! She know her stuff AND she is nice.
Not only does Alisha do blog makeovers, she creates beautiful and fun potty charts and job charts. Wouldn't your child/family love that?
If you want a blog makeover, but are clueless like me, visit Alisha's Custom Design to make your blog dream come true. Even if you're not clueless, but still want a professional looking blog, you can use her experience.
***I have noticed that I have got followers more quickly and more return hits since having this makeover. If you are attempting to increase the traffic to your site, Alisha is a great resource for making that happen. Her button is on my sidebar!!!***Monday, August 17, 2009
Liquid Starch Decor
Use liquid starch to apply fabric to furniture (like this treaure chest)
and to walls (like this). Liquid starch acts similar to decopauge, but it removes from surfaces easily without ruining the applied surface or the fabric!!! Recycle! Head over Sew Can Do for more pictures and info.Wednesday, August 12, 2009
Pegboard Display
Now that school is starting, make this pegboard art display on which to hang your kids' artwork. Simplify the clutter while still making your kids feel like their art is a Picasso. Head on over to Just A Girl to learn how she did this!Nautical Bedroom
I wish I could make my son's room as dreamy as this nautical bedroom design as seen on Lil Blue Boo. The waves, the pictures, the canvase, the tranquil colors! Oh, I am in love! Click here to see more pictures of this amazing room!
