Hello There Someday Crafters

Hello everyone. Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm Melissa (Missy) Gener and I will be overseeing the day to day activities of Someday Crafts over the next two months while Michelle is traveling with family.

Just a little bit about myself. I'm a physician that works as a hospital laboratory consultant by day (ie. I'm not a doctor that sees patients :-)) and I'm a crafter by night. I have two little ones and I'm married to the love of my life Ed. We live in Poland, Ohio which is about 60 miles from both Cleveland and Pittsburgh in northeastern Ohio. I've been crafting and scrapbooking for the last 18 years. I'm a former small business owner and I have been blogging for the past 5 years. I currently blog at Paper Princess and would love for you all to stop in there and say hello.

So what does this mean for Someday Crafts you may be asking yourself? In the simplest terms, nothing. We will still be providing our same services and links. We also will be bringing back some of your past favorites including the Monday Giveaways and the Whatever Goes Wednesday favorites post. We will also be working more with our Facebook fan page. I'll be answering your e-mails and directing all other day to day activities here on the blog and facebook. Michelle will be stopping in occasionally to give everyone updates about her travels. She and I are in close contact in regards to Someday Crafts.

I'm looking forward to working here at Someday Crafts and I can't wait to get to know each of you over the next two months. Please feel free to add any questions you may have to the comments section or email them to me at somedaycrafts@gmail.com.

Meet My New Blogging Buddies!!!

If you haven't noticed, my blog is changing. The new layout and technological improvements are not my doing! I have found two helpers to assist me in running this blog. You can read about them below!!!

KIM: Marketing director by day, crafty mommy blogger by night, Kim blogs over at seven thirty three - - - a creative blog, where she shares her original creative ideas, as well as other peoples' crafty projects. There is a lot of fun going on over at seven thirty three, so go check it out! Every Thursday is What Are Little Boys Made Of? Weekly Round Up and every Friday is Fun Feature Friday. There are freebies and giveaways as well.
Kim also offers help with blog design and layout, so if you are in dire need of a button, header or other design element, she's your girl! Kim, the techy guru, is the one who is making all the technological changes to this blog. SHE'S FAST and knows what she is doing!!! When I email her a question or request, she responds quickly and get the request done that night! What a dream!
On a personal note, Kim is a mommy of three, wife of one and has a dog and a cat! She works full time, but still manages to work in crafting and blogging!
HERE is Kim's latest cool creation. It is a monster hot/cold rice bag. Perfect for the kids to sleep with in summer or winter. (My kids actually used a boring one of these last week. I love the idea to create a new creature!)

BRANDY - Hello Everyone!! I am new around here and will be helping Michelle with posts, parties and the day-to-day aspects of running a busy blog. I am so excited to be here and get to know you all! So a little about me, first off my name is Brandy and I live in Utah with my husband and 2 sweet babies! My husband and I have been married for 7 years and I still love laughing with him! My two adorable babies make life so much better! I have a 5 year old little princess who thinks the world revolves around her. I don't know where she gets that from! I also have a 6 month old little monkey. He is so much fun, talking and jabbering all the time!!
I love to craft and surf blogs for ideas. I enjoy getting inspiration from so many places. I also love anything that does not cost me too much since I am now staying home with the angels. I love it when something I make actually turns out well (doesn't happen as often as I would like.)

Giveaway Directory Announcement and More Party Features!

I get many people asking me to announce the giveaways on their blogs. While I would love to assist them, I really have tried not to do that for many different reasons. I enjoy promoting ideas, tutorials and projects more than giveaways. That is the main reasons. That is why most people come to my blog.
However, I had an idea that could help some of you who are having giveaways on your blog and would like more people to see them. On Thursday (first post of the day), I will have a linky for giveaways. You can link up the giveaway on your blog and my viewers can come visit and enter in them. There will only be this one linky a week for giveaways so make the most of it. It will be open for one day only. Of course, people can view it and enter longer than that. If this is not popular, it may be discontinued after a month or so. What do you all think about this idea? Is it a good one or a poor one? Leave me a comment.
