Chinese New Year

There's still time to enter the adorable beanie giveaway from SMIRK. Go HERE.

The first craft blog I started reading was Little Birdie Secrets. Mandy, one of the little birdies, was my friend growing up. Prior to her starting that blog, I had no idea there was such a thing as craft blogs. Little did I know there were other blogs besides that one for like 6 months after I started reading it. Now, look at me! Thanks, Mandy! (My husband would probably NOT say 'Thank you.')
Last year, Little Birdie Secrets posted about celebrating Chinese New Year. I'm a party girl and thought I'd give it a try. I made the Chinese Egg Rolls posted on that blog and they were delish! (I made another batch and froze them to last all year.) You can read that post on my personal blog HERE. (Please don't exploit my family. Thanks.)
This year, Little Birdie Secrets has posted a few more recipes and ideas for a Chinese New Year party. This years recipes are Chicken Lettuce Wraps and Sweet and Sour Chicken!!!!!!!!! I'm salivating as I think about it right now! It happens to fall on Feb. 14 (which is Valentine's AND my husband's birthday). So I will probably hold our Chinese New Year party a few days later. I wish you all could come!

They also posted about these traditions. I was wondering if anyone out there wanted to supply me with some Lucky Money Envelopes full of crisp new bills. Any takers? See this idea HERE.
How about making personalized chopsticks (go HERE) or Misfortune Cookies (go HERE.)

You have a great start on celebrating this year! Let me know if any of you go through with a party!
