Framed Stitched Furniture Silhouettes
There are several things I love about this wall frame display at Flamingo Toes. I love the pop of color, the spray painted, fancy frames and the handstitched furniture inside the frames. Handstitching would look great with any type of silhouette. It definitely is a conversation piece. You gotta check it out.Sunday, June 26, 2011

Silhouette Heat Transfer Material!!!!
One of my favorite crafting products to use is the Silhouette Heat Transfer Material. It is so easy and works so well. Just cut out what you want (using either the Silhouette or by hand) and iron it on your material. I prefer using this more than freezer paper stencils.
I made this shirt announcing my pregnancy with the Silhouette Heat Transfer Material. I drew out the ribcage and what I wanted on regular paper and then traced it onto the heat transfer material, cut it out and ironed it on! Easy!
Not only is it easy, but this does NOT come off when washed! It is high quality stuff!
When I intially was given the chance to try to the heat transfer material, I was hesitant because I didn't (and still don't) own a Silhouette machine, BUT this is one of their products that you definitely don't need the machine for in order to use. It may make it easier, but it's not totally necessary!
The heat transfer material can be applied to jeans, hats, shoes, lamps, pillows, etc. If it is a fabric type material, you can embellish and dress it up with heat transfer!

The good news is that Silhouette is having a promotion on the Silhouette machines and on the Heat Transfer Material from today (May 17th) until May 25th.

A Few Reminders and Points of Interest
These cuties were made by The Hand Me Down House. Gotta love the vinyl heat transfer packs that created these pillows!
You can make fun projects like this Christmas subway art pillow from Tatertots and Jello. (Seen at Crazy Christmas Crafter at I Heart Naptime.)
