Sugar Lane (and Giveaway)

There is just something so gratifying about wrapping a little one up in a hand knit hat. There is something wonderful about taking yarn and needles and making a keepsake that will be cherished.

Megan over at Sugar Lane is the Mother to 5 children and the designer behind Sugar Lane’s whimsical line of baby and toddler hat patterns. She has designed hats that are easy enough for an advanced beginner to knit – really, there isn’t a purl in sight- yet, they are so fun and unique. Totally original!

Every pattern comes with a large photo and step by step directions . The patterns also include large, easy to read, easy to follow color charts.

Another great thing about Sugar Lane patterns is that they all use the same needle size and yarn weight. There’s no need to purchase set after set of needles.

Knitting is such an economical- not to mention portable craft. Megan’s little patterns are perfect to tuck into your tote bag and take with you on car trips, while waiting at sports practice, or for passing the time when you’re stuck at the doctor’s office.

Knitting is also what is known as a “Zero Waste” craft. There is never any left over scraps to discard which is goooood for our environment.

A handknit hat can last through 5 babies, 11 years (and still counting) plus repeated washings (due to toddler “love”). A handknit baby hat isn’t just a hat, it’s an heirloom!

What’s that? Oh, so you say you don’t knit? Well, Megan will be happy to knit up any of her hats in the size and color you want just for you! And of course, she is always happy to answer any questions you have about yarn choice or needles.

The good news is Sugar Lane is having a giveaway!!!
