I have to admit that I don't LOVE to eat conversation hearts! I just don't think they taste very good. I do, however, like the conversation heart crafts out there. Here are 3 I like!!!
With a bag or two of conversation hearts, you can make these awesome Valentine's cone! Our Forever House made them look fantastic on candlesticks!

. This wreath made out of conversation hearts needs to be at my house! Thrifty 101 made this wreath into a Valentine's rockstar wreath!

. Or you can make some endearing conversation heart topiaries like Simply Crafty! Make them big or small. Group them in threes or leave them by themselves! They look great no matter what you do with them.

These are adorable ideas. I feel the same way about conversation hearts, I am a dark chocolate girl, but love the idea of decoarating with conversation hearts.
ReplyDeleteMichelle,
ReplyDeleteI am a new reader and have just finished your post over at Under My Umbrella. I had to comment. I am a retired SPED teacher as of Dec. 08. I began my career in 1975 as a speech therapist then a Master's in Learning Disabilities, 8 yrs as Reading Coach and then a Dev. delayed teacher of children with severe disabilities like you described. As I read, I thought I was reading about my classroom. Oh how I connected with your frustration and I WAS a Veteran Teacher. I went back into SPED after a stint as Reading Coach, which was a wonderful break, because I had a grandson born premature & diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Our family was devastated yet determined to give James the very best to assure him of a successful life. James was not impaired cognitively but in the area of his legs. He had life changing surgery in June of this year at St. Louis Children's Hospital with Dr. Parks.
I felt compelled to comment since our lives shared so many familiar experiences in the world of Sped. Hop on over to my blog for a visit. I often post progress reports on James while talking about my other 4 grandchildren, my family, home, and quilting.
