We are so excited to be visiting Someday Crafts.
We are a lot like Chameleons because
But one thing for sure, whatever we do, we always have FUN!
Today we are sticking with crafts and going to show you another
fun, easy, simple and useful idea
or an amazing gift for that
Cork Board
How many of you have a collection of wine corks?
ME, ME ME- I DO!
Gund Lach Bund Schu
Gun Lock Bun Shoe
It's OK if you don't.
You can order them off of Ebay, or ask your favorite cafe or bar if they have any they are tossing out.
Supplies:
Wine Corks
Hot Glue Glue
Glue Sticks (plenty)
Frame
Thick Cardboard to fit frame
First step is to figure out who is this gift for?
You or that special someone?
That's what I thought-
What room are you going to put it in?
Now gather all of your corks and place them two by two on the cardboard in frame (do not glue yet).
No, it's not Noah's Ark.
Fill the entire frame with the corks.
It will get very tight and you might have one row going straight across or you might need to shave a couple, but don't worry they will fit.
By filling the frame first, you will know if you have enough corks and if you like your design.
If you don't have enough or don't like the design, we will show you another version.
Now for the tricky part-
Pick out each cork and hot glue it into place.
Tutorial of swirl finger nails coming soon...
and Sarah says sorry for her un-finished nail.
Second version
Stenciled Cork Board
With this version, you will need a sheet of cork board
and glue into place where you would like the stencil.
You can free hand a design or even add a monogram.
We when with a Fleur de Lis.
You don't want to use plain ol' tacks do you?
Come visit us at Chameleon Girls and see
what caper we will tackle next.
