I am so excited about these books we have for you today! They're My Interactive Book of Mormon Stories from a cute little Etsy shop called BookofMormonforKids. They're so fun and adaptable to just about any age. They're also easy to create and perfect for taking along to church, supplementing Family Home Evening or any other gospel discussion with children.
Just look at the amazing artwork and detail that has gone into creating these books...
Even if you have young children, they can just have fun moving the pieces around while you offer simple explanations of what the pictures are portraying. If they're a bit older, they can enjoy the books with a more in depth discussion or even just play on their own. My little guy is 4 and as he was going through these books, I would read the words and explain what he needed to do and then he would do it. Older children who can read could use this book completely on their own!
If you've never heard of these books (I hadn't before I was contacted by the company), you can check out these videos to learn more about them.
This is the video about Volume 1.
And this is the video about Volume 2.
These books are SA-WEET, right?! As my son was going through them, he said to me, "Mom, thanks for making these books! They're so awesome and fun!" Can't get much better than that, coming from a 4-year-old! We've already added these to the rotation of quiet things my son is allowed to take to church (other file folder games and a write-on wipe-of book).
What I love about them is that they're not just moving around pieces. These books include a maze, crossword puzzle, a code to decipher, things to draw, etc. They're so much fun - and kiddos are learning gospel stories at the same time!
In the pictures on the website, they have the books bound, but I chose to just put them into sheet protectors and then "bind" them in a 3-holed folder. We don't have our color inkjet anymore, so I had to get these printed in color elsewhere, so I chose to pay for the printing and laminating and go cheaper on the "binding". I also had all of the pieces laminated and then use the blue tacky stuff to attach them to the pages.
