Hey there, Someday Crafts readers. I just wanted to take a minute and remind you that since Google Reader is not going to exist on Monday, you may need to find a new way to follow Someday Crafts. We love all of our readers and don't want any of you to miss out on any Someday Crafts updates!
As far as I can tell, Google Friend Connect (GFC) is sticking around. So you can still click the "Join this site" button that you see on the sidebar.
If you have your own blog, you should still be able to see the blog updates at the bottom of your dashboard like normal. That's actually my preferred method, since I don't have to open yet ANOTHER window to see what's new with the blogs I follow.
However, if you don't have your own blog or don't utilize this method, you'll need a new way to read the articles from the blogs you've joined. That's where sites likes Bloglovin', Feedly, Digg, and others come in. I think I prefer Bloglovin', but you'll need to go explore them in order to find your personal favorite. We all like things to be personalized in a different way.
The best thing about them all though, is that you can easily import all the blogs you follow with Google Reader, so you don't lose any of your information! Isn't that great? Plus, these other sites make it really easy to find other content and websites that you might like. Most of them also have apps for your smartphones to make reading on the go even easier!

I'm really loving Bloglovin' especially now with the new feature to follow your friends and see what they are reading and liking. :)And so glad GFC is sticking around.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up on this so I can make my own post, I truly had no idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting us all know. :-)
ReplyDeleteAlthough I still have GFC button and Bloglovin button on my blog (because it's great whichever way people want to follow), I use Feedly for following the blogs I follow. I like the 'title view.'
ReplyDeleteI've been trying out bloglovin and feedly for about a month now. Feedly is the clear winner for me. It's just easier to scroll down the list when I can't read all the posts at once and the fact that every post was truncated on bloglovin made me a little crazy!
ReplyDeleteI already have you in bloglovin. See you there!
ReplyDeleteOne more vote for feedly :)
