I think this would be such a fun thing to have in my yard. It could either be used as a checkerboard, a chess board or to play a ton of games with my kids. Their imaginations would come alive with different ways to use this. Find out how at the DIY Network (found via The How-To Girl.) Go HERE for a checkerboard patio.

I would love that too in my yard! That is awesome! I would have to learn how to play again it has been years. Great idea!

So cool! I would love to do that grass pattern in the yard!
ReplyDeleteThat's super coooooool!!!!! How fun!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool. My daughter has been talking about building the largest game board in the world. She wants to be in the Guiness book... She's been mentioning cardboard boxes and scraps of wood. Mercy! Maybe we could do something a little more "classy" if I show her this!
ReplyDeleteCreative!
ReplyDeleteRather than going thru all the trouble of pouring concrete and laying sod, one could just lay yard tiles in a pattern on the existing grass. They never mentioned where one could get the large playing pieces. (at least I didn't see it!)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool! I wonder where you get the huge chess pieces. We'd probably just have to use pop bottles (that had been spray painted of course). :)
ReplyDeleteThat is totally cool and how creative! What a fun yard!
ReplyDeletelove, love, LOVE this! I'd also have checkers pieces!
