This is a great idea for chore charts. I love that your kids can take of the task when finished and start on the new one! Does everyone have a chore chart for summer? See this at Super Saturday Crafts.

Faux Tiled Patio

If I had a cement patio (or sidewalk), I would definitely use this technique from Beneath My Heart to make it a faux tiled patio.
She painted the cement to look like tile! Little cost, work and upkeep!!!
The perfect solution!

Solve That Crack Problem!

If you have the space between your pants and underwear problem (thus exposing your crack or back), visit I am Momma, Hear Me Roar for a quick easy fix. I'm sure this would work for your kids (and husband's) too.

Spray Painted Glass Bottles

What do you do with the glass bottles you have after the "stuff" in them is gone? They don't recycle glass in my county so I have to figure something else functional to do with them. I like to make them pretty!

This used to be a sobe bottle. I liked the shape of it so I thought that I would make it prettier and use it as a vase! I cleaned off the label and gunk. I got my cheap spray paint I bought from the dollar store.

And started spraying away. (Yes, I did this project during the winter and am barely posting it!) I used two coats of paint on this bottle.
After it dried, I placed some flowers in it! The blue vase on the left used to be a salsa jar! It looks better spray painted too! You don't even notice the lizard on the side of the former Sobe bottle!!!

In this picture, I added some ribbon to the bottles. I don't know what I like better, the plain bottles or the bottles with ribbon.

I'm adding this to the
glass bottle show that I hosted last Friday. My computer was broke and I couldn't download the pictures in time to add this to the show until today. There is still time to add a glass bottle project to the show or view the other projects HERE.

Glass Bottle Categorically Crafting Show

Over the past year, I have been amazed by all the recycled glass bottles crafts. What people do with old wine bottles, jars of jam, salsa jars, etc. blows my mind.
Just a little bit of spray paint can work wonders.
Below are a few of the glass bottles crafts I've seen!
Spell out words using glass bottles. These spray painted bottles look great for decoration. See this idea at City Cradle.
I love all things polka dots!!! Over at Dazzled By Life there are these too cute polka dot vases! I love the color of the dots! They are so much fun, and soooo easy!!!
Make sure you check those glas bottles out HERE!!!

This is a new technique for coloring glass that I have never seen before. I really like it! Less messy and maybe easier and quicker than spray paint.

See this tip for coloring glass from the inside HERE at Domestically Speaking.

Look what a little bit of hot glue can do to a glass bottle/vase. It fancies it up!!!
Learn how to do this hot glue on glass technique HERE.

This glass bottle has netting around it create a PB knock-off!
See it at the Frugal Designer. Go HERE.

This is the first post I remember seeing spray painted glass bottles and fell in love. It was a year ago yesterday that I featured these beauties from A Soft Place To Land.
