Every now and then, I see something that is outrageously amazing, but doesn't have a tutorial accompanying it. I saw this rug fashioned after a doily and knew I had to share it with you. I'm speechless. I wish I knew how to crochet (both the regular way and this ginormous way)! It is hand crocheted using rope and was spotted at Stars and Sunshine.See the doily rug!

THIS RUG ALMOST REMINDS ME OF MACRAME...I DON'T KNOW HOW ITS SPELT..WE USE TO MAKE HANGING MACRAME FLOWER POT HOLDERS YEARS AGO.. IT LOOKS LIKE SHE STARTED WITH A ROUND RING AND MACRAMED IT TO RESEMBLE A DOILY? IT SAYS SHE USED HER HANDS AND COTTON ROPE..SOUNDS LIKE MACRAME TO ME..?

ReplyDeleteI had several of those 15 years ago - my favorite one had a sunflower in the center - and I had the matching doily on my table. :D
