Dollar Store Decorating

Welcome to the Dollar Store Craft Categorically Crafting Show where you can show off the projects, ideas, traditions and tips you use for creating your dollar store crafts. Dig through your archives or link a recent post. Share your dollar store ideas with us. Here are a few that I've found floating out there!

If you've never been over to Dollar Store Crafts, now is the time to go. She has amazing crafts found that can be found at the dollarstore. That's all she highlights (and most of them are really cute!!!) This is one blog to definitely have on your blog roll!
,

Many, many cakestands have been made using dollar store materials. I like this one by A Little of This, A Little of That. So pretty!
.

I think this display/shelf at Room to Inspire is darling! The numbered pots were found at the dollarstore! If anyone sees one of these shelves at a garage sale, buy it for me! In the meantime, I will look for some cute pots to number! Great decorating idea! See more picture of these dollarstore pots and shelf HERE!

This is an inexpensive, easy and fast craft! I don't think it gets much easier, quicker and cheaper than this fun idea found at ABC's of My Life!
This one at The Simpler Life talks about decorating dollar store style. I really like it. To see this great post, go HERE.

Add some color and "pop" to your walls with this artwork mostly made from dollar store items. Dollar store crafts are one of my favorite kinds. They are usually cheap, easy and quick! See this at Frugal Life Project.

And, Finally, a project that I created! I made these candlestick from dollar store materials. See how HERE.

Please join your crafty post if, and only if, it corresponds with the category and theme of Lamps. (If it doesn't fit in this category, please link it up to Whatever Goes Wednesday.) Link up crafts, decor, sewing projects, food, tips, etc, that has to do with dollar store craft. If you have joined a dollar store craft project to a party on my blog before, feel free to add it to this show too! If you have a lot of mirror projects, please choose your favorites. (Please no more than 4 posts per blog). Link to the specific posts, not to your main blog page.
Let's see what you have created (either recently or in the past)!

You can paste the "Categorically Crafting" button onto your blog post. I would love to see these floating around so more people can post their themed projects. I will leave this linky post open until next CC Show. Keep checking back for more ideas!!!
The next 3 Categorically Crafting Shows are as follows:

September 24 - Laundry Rooms
Sept 30 - Candy Corn
Oct. 6 - Disney

(If you haven't gone back to see last week's BOY show, you must see the rest of the ideas linked up throughout the week. See them HERE.)

  2. Love, love, love this category. I'm a huge Dollar Tree junkie.
I was a bit confused at first about the category because your post mentions toy rooms, lamps, and mirrors in different spots. Thought I'd let you know in case any one else got confused.
Thanks for hosting such great parties every week!

  3. Aw danggit. I had the perfect project planned for this party and it's still sitting half finished in my craft room. Sigh.
Guess I'll cheer myself up by seeing what everyone else came up with. :)

  5. Hello,

It also most often finds plain wood boxes of a variety of shapes that you can paint. This is unique for setting in your bathroom on your sink for holding bobby pins or miscellaneous items.
    Thanks....
